ALWAGHT- Amid escalating regional tensions, Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader on international affairs, delivered a sharp warning on Wednesday.
Ali Akbar Velayati said in a two-part post on X that Iran has repeatedly warned against what he described as the “political gambling” of smaller countries in the region, stressing that Tehran has consistently shown any adventurism would be met with an immediate response.
He blamed the latest escalation entirely on Washington following US President Donald Trump's remarks about ending the bilateral ceasefire agreement. Velayati argued that the United States had already violated the agreement multiple times in practice and warned that its actions are once again driving the region toward open conflict.
