ALWAGHT- The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, has released a message commemorating the second anniversary of former President Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi's martyrdom.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, issued a message commemorating the second martyrdom anniversary of former President Ayatollah Ebrahim Raeisi and other "Martyrs of Service" who died in the May helicopter crash. He noted that their commemoration serves as a reminder of the many esteemed martyrs who served the Islamic Republic, including figures such as Motahhari, Beheshti, Rajaei, Bahonar, Al-e Hashem, Amir-Abdollahian, and Larijani — all of whom were schooled in the intellectual tradition of Imam Khomeini and the martyred Leader himself, and who recorded their sincere service "with their own blood-stained signatures."
Among Raeisi's most distinctive qualities, the Leader highlighted his sense of responsibility, youth-oriented approach, dedication to justice, active diplomacy, and above all, his connection with the people — qualities intertwined with deep spirituality. These traits fostered mutual gratitude between officials and the public, which is why Raeisi's funeral procession to his final resting place beside Imam Reza (PBUH) was carried out with unique grandeur. The Leader stated that Raeisi's unfinished presidency established a standard of hard struggle and compassion for the nation while maintaining the country's independence.
The Leader noted that Iran now stands before the historic, unprecedented epic of resistance against two "global terrorist armies" — an apparent reference to the United States and Israel — placing a heavier burden of responsibility on all Iranian officials. Being thankful for the nation's unity, he said, lies in intensifying diligent service, actively addressing people's economic and livelihood concerns, and defining a serious role for the people in the country's progress. The message concludes with prayers for God's mercy upon the martyrs and divine assistance for those serving the Iranian nation.
