ALWAGHT- China's ambassador to Tehran stated that Beijing's support for Iran is beyond question, adding that China is prepared to take part in rebuilding the country.
Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu met with Mohammad Ali Amani, Secretary General of Iran's Islamic Coalition (Motalefa) Party, to discuss regional developments, Iran's resistance to recent aggression, post-war cooperation, and facilitating travel for businessmen and tourists. Amani reiterated Iran's view of Donald Trump as a war criminal responsible for the deaths of General Soleimani and Iranian nuclear scientists, insisting on Iran's right to retaliation, economic war compensation, and securing the Strait of Hormuz. He added that the era of relying on Western promises is over, calling on China as a strategic partner to stand up against American unilateralism.
Ambassador Cong Peiwu affirmed that China's support for Iran is clear and unquestionable, adding that Beijing is ready to play a role in rebuilding Iran—both bilaterally and on the international stage in defending justice. He referenced the Chinese president's four proposals for global peace and stability, emphasizing compliance with peace, respect for international law, and confronting hegemony. Cong also noted that China has so far delivered 58 tons of medicine to Iran.
Regarding travel facilitation, Cong responded positively, saying visa processes would be eased. He acknowledged that there is a long way to go until the end of the war, but stressed that these challenges have created an opportunity to increase political mutual trust between the two countries, adding that strengthening this trust is a priority for Beijing.
