ALWAGHT- Major General Amir Hatami, Iran's army chief, declared that the security of the Strait of Hormuz represents a "red line" that cannot be crossed.
Iran's Army Commander-in-Chief wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) account: "In the name of God. The children of the Iranian nation are the watchful eyes of the Persian Gulf. Every inch of these waters lies within the grasp of our will. US destroyers, relying on radar silence, imagined they could approach the Strait of Hormuz; however, our reply came in the form of fire. Cruise missiles and combat drones were launched. The security of this region is Iran's red line." The commander also stressed that any effort to bypass Iran's naval surveillance through stealth methods would provoke a forceful military reaction.
