Strait of Hormuz Saw No Commercial or Oil Tanker Traffic in Past Hours, Says IRGC

ALWAGHT- According to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Monday, no merchant vessels or oil tankers have transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past several hours—a statement that rejects recent US claims as entirely unfounded.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) warned through its Public Relations Office that any maritime activity violating its established navigation rules will encounter severe consequences, adding that unauthorized vessels will be forcibly stopped.

The statement flatly rejected recent remarks from US officials, calling them "baseless and outright false," and declared, "No commercial or tanker vessels have transited the Strait of Hormuz in the past several hours."

Earlier, the US military reported that two of its Navy guided-missile destroyers had entered the Persian Gulf and that two American ships had passed through the Strait of Hormuz. This came after Iran's Navy announced that it had turned away a US warship approaching the strategic waterway, which Iran has controlled since the early days of the war.
