ALWAGHT- On Wednesday, citizens in Tehran and elsewhere held celebrations for Imam Reza's birthday anniversary and renewed their pledge of allegiance to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
A large ceremony called "The Followers of Imam Reza" began on Wednesday afternoon in downtown Tehran. The event was held in an area stretching between Imam Hussein (AS) Square in the city center and Azadi Square to the west.
Participants carried placards, national flags, and banners bearing the name of Imam Reza (AS), as well as images of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, and the martyred Leader. The crowds were renewing their pledge of allegiance to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and to Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
The massive ceremony is a clear sign of national unity. The people have taken to the streets in support of the warriors of Islam (the armed forces), defending the nation amid ongoing threats against the country.
