ALWAGHT- According to former British diplomat and leading geopolitical analyst Alastair Crooke, Trump's rhetoric against Iran constitutes a dangerous delusion. He warns that the US administration's illegal "war of choice" is dismantling the global economy and inflicting "dire pain" on the West.
In a recent assessment, former British diplomat Alastair Crooke argued that Trump's claims of total leverage are empty and disconnected from strategic reality. Crooke stated that while Trump says he has all the cards, Iran controls the Strait of Hormuz, the Bab al-Mandab in the Red Sea, and key pipelines. He explained that Iran's aim in this war is to break the entire paradigm, adding that the West is incapable of understanding that others have fundamentally different ways of thinking and seeing reality.
Crooke warned that the West currently exists in a "neverworld" where the full impact hasn't yet hit, but consequences will soon be felt in every household. He predicted no petrol at stations, difficulty getting children to school, and food shortages. Skyrocketing electricity costs and fuel shortages would leave Europe in "dire pain," making daily necessities and travel unaffordable for the masses.
According to Crooke, this conflict is a global war against a corrupt financial architecture that has long suppressed the real economy in favor of Wall Street speculation. He dismissed current market stability as manipulated, arguing that oil prices quoted in the paper are not reflective of actual purchase costs. Ultimately, Crooke concluded that by initiating an illegal war of choice, the US has triggered a breakdown of global supply chains and financial systems, leading to a world made miserable by the fragility of the very system the West sought to protect.
