ALWAGHT- During their telephone conversation on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministers of Italy and Iran exchanged views on regional stability and the economic consequences arising from US-Israeli military aggression.
During a telephone call on Wednesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani discussed the security, legal, and economic consequences of US-Israeli military aggression against Iran.
Araghchi criticized the actions of "American-Israeli aggressors" during recent attacks on Iran, emphasizing the need for all governments to condemn violations of international law, including the UN Charter. He attributed the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz to US lawlessness and unilateral military action against a sovereign nation.
Araghchi also warned about the double standards displayed by some European states regarding attacks on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities. The ministers also addressed developments in Lebanon, with Tajani emphasizing Italy's support for peace and stability in the Persian Gulf region and expressing readiness to contribute to regional security.
