Leader Warns Warships Could Be Sunk in Response to Trump’s Threats

ALWAGHT- In response to ongoing US threats, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said Iran’s weapons that can target American carriers are “more dangerous” than the ships.

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, addressing a large crowd in East Azarbaijan, warned that despite US claims of having the world’s strongest military, even the most powerful forces can be severely struck. He emphasized that while American aircraft carriers are dangerous, Iran possesses weapons capable of sinking them and reaffirmed that the US has failed to eliminate the Islamic Republic over the past 47 years and will not succeed in the future.

The remarks come amid US military deployments to the region, including an additional aircraft carrier, thousands of troops, fighter jets, and guided-missile destroyers, while Iran and the US continue indirect nuclear negotiations. Iranian officials have stressed readiness for both diplomacy and conflict, warning that any attack on Iran could trigger a broader regional war.

Ayatollah Khamenei criticized the US for attempting to predetermine the outcome of talks, particularly regarding Iran’s nuclear program, calling such an approach “wrong and foolish.” He highlighted the Iranian people’s strong cultural and religious values, asserting they would never submit to corrupt foreign powers, and referenced Imam Hussein to underline steadfastness against oppression.

The Leader also addressed recent domestic unrest, mourning the victims of foreign-backed riots in January that left thousands dead and caused extensive property damage. He categorized the victims into security forces, bystanders, and those misled into rioting, calling for prayers and forgiveness for all except the foreign-backed ringleaders, while emphasizing the role of US and Israeli intelligence in supporting the violence.
