Iran Offers to Scale Back 60% Uranium Enrichment for Full Sanctions Relief

ALWAGHT- The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, stated that Iran could dilute its 60% enriched uranium if all sanctions are lifted in return.

During a press briefing, Iran's nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, stated that technical nuclear issues are intertwined with political topics in ongoing Iran-US talks. He emphasized that Iran continues to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) but insists the Agency has an unresolved responsibility regarding the military attacks on safeguarded nuclear facilities in June 2025.

Eslami explained that inspections at undamaged facilities have continued after the attacks, with more visits scheduled, under the authorization of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. He stressed that Iran's rights to peaceful nuclear technology under IAEA statutes must be respected, asserting that the Agency's role is to support, not hinder, this access.

Regarding Iran's nuclear material, Eslami made a clear conditional offer: the potential dilution of Iran's stockpile of 60% enriched uranium is directly dependent on the complete lifting of all sanctions against the country.
