Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla held a telephone conversation to review bilateral relations and discuss regional and international developments. Araghchi strongly condemned US military aggression against Venezuela, calling it a violation of the UN Charter and international law, and urged governments and the United Nations to take a clear stand against such actions. He also commended Cuba for its resilience in the face of economic pressure and external threats.
Rodríguez denounced what he described as illegal and destabilizing US actions in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the aggression against Venezuela and the abduction of its president. Both ministers emphasized closer bilateral and multilateral cooperation, particularly within the Non-Aligned Movement and the Group of Friends in Defense of the UN Charter.
