Two Palestinians Killed in Gaza City as Israeli Forces Repeatedly Violate Ceasefire

ALWAGHT- Two additional Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces in Gaza on Monday, the latest deaths amid ongoing ceasefire violations.

Palestinian media reported that two Palestinians were shot dead on Monday after Israeli troops opened fire in the Shuja'iyya neighbourhood of eastern Gaza City. Their deaths raise the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza over the past 24 hours to at least 12, including bodies recovered from rubble.

The killings come amid continued violations of a United States-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that took effect on October 10. Gaza’s Government Media Office said Israel has committed 875 violations since the ceasefire began, citing air and artillery attacks, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and hundreds of incidents involving gunfire on civilians.

Humanitarian conditions in Gaza remain severe, with authorities accusing Israel of blocking critical aid as mass displacement continues. The Gaza Health Ministry reported that 411 Palestinians have been killed and 1,112 injured since the ceasefire began, bringing the overall death toll since October 2023 to 70,937, with more than 171,000 wounded.
