ALWAGHT- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf praised the IRGC Navy for a successful military exercise in the Persian Gulf. He stated that new domestically-produced long-range missiles were tested during the drill.
In a parliamentary address, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf commended the IRGC Navy's recent two-day war games, known as the "Shahid Mohammad Nazeri" drill. He specifically praised the successful test firing of new domestically produced long-range and precision missiles, describing the achievement as a matter of national pride. The exercise spanned a vast area, including the Persian Gulf, key islands, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman.
Crucially, Qalibaf highlighted the strategic capability of the weaponry used, noting the missiles have a strike radius exceeding the entire 989-kilometer length of the Persian Gulf and can hit targets with great accuracy. This point emphasizes the extended range of Iran's indigenous missile technology.
The successful drill was further elaborated by Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, who confirmed that all advanced and smart weapon systems used were developed domestically by Iran's Defense Ministry and the IRGC Navy. He credited the exercise's precision and success to effective planning, coordination, and the high morale of the participating naval forces.
