Leader: US, Despite Its Advanced Military Arsenal, Was Defeated in the 12-day War

ALWAGHT- Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stated that the US suffered significant setbacks in the June war with Iran, even after deploying cutting-edge weapons and defense technology.

Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran defeated both the United States and Israel in the 12-day war, stating that they failed to achieve any of their objectives and returned “empty-handed.” He added that Israel had prepared for the conflict for years but misjudged Iran and the response of its people.

He said their plan to turn the public against the state backfired, instead creating national unity, even among critics of the system. According to him, this internal solidarity was one of Iran’s greatest victories in the conflict.

The Leader said the United States suffered serious damage despite using advanced military technology, including jets, submarines, and modern defense systems. He acknowledged Iranian losses but said the enemy’s material losses were far greater and that Iran proved its strength and independence in decision-making.

He also criticized US support for Israel, linking it to events in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and beyond, and accused Washington of fueling wars worldwide for its own interests. He urged Iranians to protect unity at home, support the government, and strengthen resistance in the face of foreign pressure.
