ALWAGHT- Gunfire and airstrikes were reported across Gaza on Wednesday as Israel transferred the bodies of 15 Palestinian prisoners under a US-brokered ceasefire.
A Palestinian man died from gunshot wounds in Bani Suheila near Khan Younis, and a drone strike killed two more people in Beit Lahiya, according to local reports. Gaza’s health ministry also said it had received 15 bodies through the Red Cross, bringing the total number of remains returned to 345.
The body transfer followed the handover of Dror Or, one of the last deceased Israeli hostages in Gaza, whose remains were returned to Israel a day earlier via ICRC mediation. In the West Bank, Israeli forces launched large-scale raids across five northern communities, placing Tubas under siege.
Gaza’s health ministry said the death toll since October 7, 2023, has reached 69,785, with 170,965 wounded. It reported 10 deaths in the past day and accused Israel of continued ceasefire violations, including attacks on civilian areas and shootings.
