ALWAGHT- Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff cautioned that while the country maintains a defensive military doctrine, any renewed act of aggression will face a far stronger and more destructive response.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi praised Iran’s national broadcaster for its vital role during the 12-day conflict launched by the Zionist regime and the United States in June. He said that, although active fighting has paused, the broadcaster must continue helping maintain calm and unity within the country.
Mousavi stressed that Iran follows a defensive military doctrine and will never start a war. However, he warned that if aggression resumes, Iran’s response will be far harsher, moving beyond deterrence to make the enemy “miserable” for any future attacks.
The June conflict began when the Zionist regime launched strikes on Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian sites. The US later escalated the situation by attacking nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
Iran retaliated immediately with major missile operations, including 22 waves of strikes targeting occupied territories, and later hit the US al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Hostilities came to a halt on June 24 following the enforcement of a ceasefire.
