ALWAGHT- According to a senior Army official, Iran is upgrading its defense systems in all domains to effectively respond to evolving threats.
Deputy Chief of the Iranian Army for Coordination, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, said that Iran learned valuable lessons from the 12-day war imposed on the country in June, which have helped enhance the combat readiness of its Armed Forces. Since the end of the conflict, Iran has focused on continuously developing its defense capabilities.
He emphasized that, given the evolving nature of threats, Iran must remain fully prepared across all domains, including ground, air, air defense, naval, and cyber, with upgrading these capabilities as a top priority. Sayyari highlighted that the Iranian Army’s current state of readiness is very high and that efforts to strengthen defense will continue.
The admiral also pointed to Iran’s active role in international conferences on maritime security and trade routes, noting that the country has contributed significantly to ensuring security in the northern Indian Ocean through the effective deployment of its naval forces.
