ALWAGHT- The Islamic Jihad movement condemned the Israeli occupation’s use of snipers and airstrikes in Jenin, calling it a dangerous escalation and warning that ongoing attacks and home demolitions will fuel Palestinian resistance.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) condemned the killing of three Palestinian youths west of Jenin by Israeli forces, carried out through sniper fire and airstrikes. The movement described the assassinations as part of a broader pattern of Israeli aggression across the West Bank, calling the attacks a “dangerous escalation” and highlighting the occupation’s disregard for Palestinian lives and international law.
PIJ criticized the targeting of homes in densely populated areas and the prevention of ambulances from reaching the wounded, framing these actions as collective punishment. The movement pointed to the demolition of 40 homes in al-Sir and over 1,000 homes in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nur Shams refugee camps in recent months as evidence of Israel’s agenda of displacement and demographic control.
The group warned that the occupation’s policies threaten not only Palestinians but regional stability, asserting that these crimes will strengthen Palestinian resistance rather than deter it. The latest Israeli raid in Kafr Qud, involving heavy gunfire, aerial bombardment, and military vehicles, illustrated the intensity of the ongoing operations in Jenin and surrounding areas.
