ALWAGHT- A drone strike carried out by Israel in Harouf, southern Lebanon, resulted in the death of one civilian and injuries to another, representing the latest in ongoing hostilities against Lebanese communities.
An Israeli drone strike on Saturday targeted a car in Harouf, southern Lebanon, killing one civilian and injuring another. This attack is part of a series of Israeli strikes in the Nabatieh district, including recent attacks in Zawtar al-Gharbiya and Toul, which have killed and wounded multiple civilians, fueling outrage among Lebanese residents who accuse Israel of deliberately targeting civilians and infrastructure.
Observers say these strikes violate UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and the ceasefire agreement of November 27, 2024, which were intended to halt hostilities along the Lebanese border. Despite these measures, Israeli forces have continued attacks across southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and Beirut’s Southern Suburb, putting civilian lives at risk and threatening regional stability.
Lebanese officials and resistance groups have condemned the ongoing aggression, warning that Tel Aviv’s repeated violations could escalate tensions and potentially drag the region into a broader conflict.
