ALWAGHT- Seyyed Kazem Mousavi, head of Qom’s Judiciary, announced on Sunday that a Mossad spy had been executed.
On October 18, 2025, Iranian authorities executed a man in Qom who was convicted of spying for Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency. The individual, whose identity has not been released, was found guilty of “intelligence cooperation with the Zionist regime,” “corruption on earth,” and “enmity against God,” offenses that carry the death penalty under Iran’s Islamic penal code.
Seyyed Kazem Mousavi, head of Qom’s Judiciary, stated that the execution followed the Supreme Court’s confirmation of the sentence and the rejection of a clemency request. The man reportedly began working with Mossad in October 2023 and was arrested in February 2024. Investigations indicated he had transmitted sensitive information to Israeli intelligence.
The execution is part of a wider crackdown on alleged Mossad-linked espionage in Iran. Earlier this month, six individuals were executed in Khuzestan Province for bombings and attacks allegedly directed by Mossad. On September 29, Bahman Choobiasl, a database specialist, was also executed for attempting to access governmental databases and breach Iranian data centers on Mossad’s behalf.
These actions underscore the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, characterized by covert operations and intelligence conflicts. Iran defends the executions as vital for national security.
