Ayatollah Khamenei Presides Over the Ashura Night Mourning Ceremony in Tehran

ALWAGHT- On Saturday, an Ashura night mourning ceremony was held at the Husseiniyeh of Imam Khomeini in Tehran, attended by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with a large and diverse crowd from different walks of life.

Hojjatoleslam Masoud A'ali, speaking at the event, highlighted themes of resistance and perseverance against oppression in the aftermath of the 12-day Israeli aggression on Iran. He emphasized the enduring significance of the lessons from the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS).

He portrayed the Iranian resistance as part of a wider global movement, positioning Islamic Iran as the "axis" of an international front led by Ayatollah Khamenei, standing against the "false front" dominated by global Zionism.

“Guided by the teachings of Ashura, the Iranian nation will never yield to the false front, having embraced the motto ‘Never to humiliation’ as its core principle,” he stated. Although Ayatollah Khamenei did not deliver a formal speech at the ceremony, attendees reported that he called over the renowned eulogist Mahmoud Karimi and whispered something to him.

As Karimi began his eulogy, he shared with the audience, “His Eminence instructed me to recite this: ‘You will remain in my soul and heart, O homeland...’”
