ALWAGHT- An Iranian deputy foreign minister dismissed reports suggesting a new round of talks between Iran and the US is being planned.
Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, denied claims by American officials about scheduling a new round of talks between Iran and the US, stating no such arrangements have been made. He emphasized that the US reports on negotiations are false.
The denial came amid ongoing tensions following Israel’s 12-day aggression against Iran starting June 13, targeting military, nuclear, and residential sites. The US escalated the conflict by attacking three Iranian nuclear facilities on June 22, prompting Iran’s military to launch powerful retaliatory missile strikes against Israeli targets as part of Operation True Promise III.
In response to the US strikes, Iran also fired missiles at the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, a major American military installation. The hostilities ceased with a ceasefire that took effect on June 24, halting the fighting between the involved parties.
