ALWAGHT- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran holds concrete evidence of American forces supporting the Israeli regime's military assaults against the Islamic Republic, and he cautioned the US to disengage from such actions.
In a meeting with foreign ambassadors in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reaffirmed Iran’s right to self-defense following Israeli strikes on its nuclear, military, and civilian sites since June 13. He emphasized that Israel could not have carried out these attacks without support from the United States and presented overwhelming evidence that American forces backed the Israeli aggression. Araghchi also condemned the UN Security Council’s inaction and called on the US to clearly condemn the Israeli strikes and disengage from the conflict.
Araghchi explained that Iran’s retaliatory strikes targeted Israeli military sites initially, but when Israel expanded its attacks to economic targets, Iran responded in kind by hitting economic sites in the occupied territories. The Israeli strikes on June 13 resulted in numerous casualties, including top Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians. Iran’s missile retaliation involved launching dozens of ballistic missiles against Israeli cities, marking a significant escalation in the conflict.
The foreign minister further criticized US President Donald Trump’s explicit support for Israel, holding the US complicit in the attacks and responsible for their consequences. He warned that the US must take accountability and urged Washington to distance itself from Israel’s military actions against Iran’s nuclear facilities. The ongoing exchange of strikes between Iran and Israel has intensified regional tensions, with both sides suffering casualties and damage to critical infrastructure.
