US Launches 13 Airstrikes Near Yemen’s Capital

ALWAGHT- Thirteen US airstrikes hit areas north of Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, in the early hours of Saturday, according to local media reports.

On Saturday, US airstrikes targeted areas north of Sana’a, including seven raids on Saada and Al Jawf governorates. Four raids hit Al Jawf’s Bart Al-Anan and Khab Washa'af districts, while three struck Saada. Additionally, six airstrikes targeted Arhab district, two of which hit the Al-Sama'a area.

Earlier on Friday, US raids on Yemen's Ras Isa oil port killed at least 80 civilians and injured 150. This attack has been described as one of the deadliest by US forces in Yemen. Since March 15, the US has launched a large-scale military operation in Yemen, reportedly in support of Israel.

Since November 2023, Yemeni armed forces have retaliated by targeting Israeli-occupied territories and ships in the Red Sea. Yemen has vowed to continue these operations in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, where over 51,000 have been killed by Israeli forces, most of them women and children.
