ALWAGHT- Two senior Iranian Army commanders visited a strategic air base in southeastern Iran amid escalating tensions with the United States.
Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Mohammad Hossein Dadras and Brigadier General Hamid Vahedi, commander of the Iranian Air Force, visited Shahid Del Hamed Air Base in Chabahar, Sistan and Baluchestan province. The two commanders assessed the base's combat readiness during their visit.
In response to US threats, Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan, head of Iran’s Army Strategic Studies Center, emphasized that the Iranian Armed Forces are prepared to deliver a "crushing and regret-inducing" response to any provocation. He downplayed US threats, stating that Tehran has faced such rhetoric since the 1979 Islamic Revolution and is unfazed by it.
Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chairman of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, reiterated that while Iran does not seek war, it will firmly resist any form of bullying. The recent threats, including those from President Trump, have not deterred Iran, which remains committed to countering aggression with full readiness.
