ALWAGHT- The Yemeni Ministry of Health and Environment has denounced a US airstrike in Sana’a that killed one civilian and injured 13 others, including women and children.
A US airstrike targeted the Asr neighborhood in Sana’a’s Ma’in District, killing one civilian and injuring 13 others, including women and children. The Yemeni Ministry of Health condemned the attack, calling it a war crime and a violation of international law. Meanwhile, US forces launched additional strikes on Yemen’s northern Sa’ada province, hitting areas near the provincial capital and key infrastructure in Hudaydah.
In response, Yemen’s Armed Forces carried out missile and drone strikes targeting the US aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman in the Red Sea. They also claimed responsibility for a hypersonic missile attack on Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport, temporarily disrupting flights. Yemeni forces vowed to continue targeting Israeli-linked vessels and escalating their military actions until Israel ceases its war on Gaza and lifts the blockade.
The US confirmed ongoing military operations in Yemen, with repeated airstrikes on multiple provinces. This follows the March 15 attack that killed 53 people, the largest US strike on Yemen since Trump resumed office. With tensions rising, Washington has announced the deployment of a second aircraft carrier to the region, while Yemen’s leadership remains committed to countering what it describes as US and Israeli aggression.
