ALWAGHT- At least one Israeli was killed and another injured in an alleged car-ramming, shooting, and stabbing attack in northern occupied territories.
A retaliatory operation took place on a road near Yokne’am, southeast of Haifa, on Monday. According to Israeli police, the attacker first rammed his vehicle into people waiting at a bus stop before exiting with a rifle and opening fire on passing cars. The assailant was then shot dead by Israeli forces who arrived at the scene.
The attack resulted in the death of a 75-year-old man, while a 20-year-old man, who was stabbed, remains in critical condition, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. Similar operations have been carried out in the past by Palestinians, who describe them as responses to Israeli actions against the Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, Israel continues its military assault on Gaza, which has been described as genocidal, and conducts deadly raids across the occupied West Bank, further escalating tensions in the region.
