ALWAGHT- Israeli occupation forces persist in their violent assault on Gaza, killing a Palestinian in Shuja'iyya and injuring several others.
Israeli occupation forces opened fire in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood of Gaza early Sunday, killing a Palestinian and injuring several others. In another violation of the ceasefire, an Israeli drone targeted Palestinians in the Al-Zafaran area near the Al-Maghazi refugee camp. Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that the ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in seven additional martyrs, with the total death toll now reaching 48,453, alongside 111,860 wounded. Many victims remain trapped under rubble as emergency teams struggle to reach them amid continued attacks.
On International Women’s Day, the Government Media Office in Gaza highlighted the devastating impact of Israel’s assault on Palestinian women. Since the war began, at least 12,316 women have been killed, and thousands more have been left disabled, widowed, or detained under inhumane conditions. The war has also caused severe humanitarian suffering, with 50,000 pregnant women experiencing miscarriages due to starvation, thirst, and the collapse of healthcare services.
Salama Maarouf, head of the media office, stressed that Palestinian women continue to endure catastrophic conditions under Israel’s siege, with access to aid severely restricted. He emphasized that women and children have borne the brunt of the war, making up 70% of the total casualties. As the humanitarian crisis deepens, Gaza remains under relentless attack, with its population facing starvation, disease, and a lack of essential resources.
