ALWAGHT- The speaker of Iran's Majlis (Parliament) emphasized that Hezbollah’s strength and widespread support have ensured that resistance remains an integral part of Lebanon’s political and security landscape, making its elimination impossible for adversaries.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf praised Hezbollah’s strength and unity, emphasizing that the movement remains an integral part of Lebanon’s political and security landscape. He highlighted Hezbollah’s successful defense of Lebanon against Israeli aggression, which ultimately forced Tel Aviv to accept a ceasefire agreement. Qalibaf stressed that Hezbollah plays a crucial role in safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and national interests, rejecting any foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs.
Reflecting on the massive funeral of Hezbollah’s former Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah and Seyyed Hashem Safieddine, Qalibaf described it as a powerful testament to the group’s enduring popular support. He noted that the overwhelming participation of both Lebanese and international attendees demonstrated Hezbollah’s growing influence and resilience. He also reiterated that Nasrallah’s unwavering stance against oppression and occupation symbolized a deeply rooted ideology that cannot be eliminated through assassination or terrorism.
Qalibaf recounted his visit to Lebanon, emphasizing the unshakable faith of its people in Hezbollah’s cause. He described the Lebanese as fearless and steadfast, committed to the principles of resistance and justice. He reaffirmed Hezbollah’s vital role in Lebanon’s security and stability, expressing admiration for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in pursuit of justice. Concluding his remarks, he hoped for divine honor and martyrdom for those standing against tyranny and oppression.
