ALWAGHT- Iran's foreign minister emphasized the potential of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) to enhance relations among its member states.
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev, who is in Iran to attend an ECO meeting, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran on Sunday.
During the meeting, Araghchi emphasized the strong and friendly relations between Iran and Kazakhstan, stressing the importance of utilizing the capacities of both countries, including their private sectors, to foster economic and commercial ties. He also highlighted the growing significance of multilateral and regional frameworks to promote cooperation among governments, urging all ECO members to leverage the organization's resources to strengthen their relations and exchanges.
Bakayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to enhancing relations with Iran across various sectors and expressed hope that the discussions would contribute to the expansion of economic and trade ties within the ECO. He also thanked Iran for hosting the ECO deputy foreign ministers' meeting.
