ALWAGHT- At least four Israeli settlers were injured in a resistance stabbing attack in Tel Aviv.
At least four Israeli settlers were critically injured in a stabbing operation in Tel Aviv, carried out by a Moroccan-American who was later shot and killed by Israeli forces. Israeli police urged settlers to avoid the area as they continued to assess the situation. Meanwhile, Palestinian media reported attacks by settlers on the villages of Jinsafut and al-Funduq, where homes and vehicles were set ablaze.
Incidents of settler violence have escalated, including a December attack where settlers vandalized and burned the Bar al-Walidain Mosque in the northern West Bank village of Marda. Racist slogans such as "revenge" and "death to Arabs" were spray-painted on its walls and floor. According to the UN, nearly 1,500 acts of settler violence were recorded in the West Bank in the past year, many occurring under the protection of Israeli soldiers.
Since the Gaza conflict began in October 2023, violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has intensified. This period has seen the largest wave of forced displacements of Palestinian communities, with over 800 Palestinians killed and 12,000 others detained by Israeli forces. The ongoing settler violence and military actions have further exacerbated tensions in the region.
