ALWAGHT- The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson announced that missile and drone units have conducted reprisal strikes on strategic targets deep within Israeli-occupied territories, continuing their support for Palestinians in Gaza amidst the ongoing Israeli genocide.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree of the Yemeni Armed Forces announced in a televised statement that Yemeni missile divisions had successfully targeted the Israeli Ministry of Military Affairs in Tel Aviv using the domestically developed Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile. Saree emphasized that the missile hit its target despite Israel's advanced anti-air systems failing to intercept it. He reaffirmed Yemen's commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, vowing to escalate military operations against Israel until the aggression on Gaza ends and the siege is lifted.
Following the strike, Israeli media reported that more than a dozen Israeli settlers were injured while seeking shelter after the missile penetrated the airspace over the occupied territories. The Hebrew-language Hadashot Bazman news outlet confirmed at least 15 casualties. This attack was part of a series of reprisal operations by Yemen, marking the third such strike within a 12-hour period. Previous operations included a missile strike on Tel Aviv and the use of four kamikaze drones targeting vital Israeli sites.
The latest attacks were a continuation of Yemen's pro-Palestinian military actions, utilizing advanced hypersonic ballistic missiles. Yemeni forces have focused on Israeli military targets within the occupied territories, and Yemeni officials have made clear that their operations will not cease until the violence against Gaza halts. These actions come amid heavy aerial assaults by the US and UK on Yemen, which have not deterred the country's military operations.
Despite the sustained aerial bombardment by Western forces in support of Israel, Yemeni military forces remain resolute. They continue to target Israeli-linked vessels and have even retaliated against Western military assets stationed near its coastline. Yemen has made it clear that its attacks will persist as long as Israel’s offensive in Gaza continues, with the death toll in Gaza surpassing 46,000 Palestinians since the war began in October 2023.
