ALWAGHT- The Israeli regime is reportedly grappling with the material and humanitarian impact of extensive missile strikes by the Yemeni Armed Forces on the occupied Palestinian territories.
The New York Times, in an analysis titled "Israel Struggles to Halt Attacks From Yemen, Once Off Radar," highlighted Israel's escalating challenges in countering Yemeni missile strikes. Yemeni forces, located about 1,000 miles from the occupied Palestinian territories, have significantly intensified their attacks, targeting Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv. These operations, described as pro-Palestinian, began in response to Israel's devastating military campaign in Gaza, which has claimed over 45,500 Palestinian lives, mostly women and children.
The Yemeni strikes have increasingly focused on Tel Aviv, Israel's economic hub, with ballistic and hypersonic missiles launched almost nightly. Despite ongoing aerial assaults by Israel and its ally, the United States, on Yemeni territories, the Yemeni Armed Forces remain undeterred, even escalating their operations to target American military assets in the region. Notably, a unique drone strike from Yemen managed to evade Israel’s defenses and hit an apartment building in Tel Aviv, causing casualties and significant damage.
The analysis noted Yemen's resilience, forged through nearly a decade of conflict against a Saudi-led coalition and continued aggression by the US and Britain. Israeli experts, including former Mossad intelligence director Zohar Palti, admitted the regime had underestimated Yemen. The Yemeni forces have emerged as a persistent challenge, employing innovative tactics and becoming a significant player in the regional "Axis of Resistance."
Yemeni forces have vowed to continue their operations until Israel ceases its regional violations. Analysts suggest that despite Israel's intensified rhetoric and attempts to damage Yemen's infrastructure, these measures are unlikely to deter Yemeni attacks. Yemen’s commitment to its cause has positioned it prominently in the regional anti-Israeli alliance, with experts predicting their sustained presence and influence in the ongoing conflict.
