ALWAGHT- The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson condemned an Israeli attack on a residential building in the Sayeda Zainab district, south of Damascus, which killed seven civilians on Sunday.
In a statement on Monday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei condemned an Israeli strike on a residential building in the Sayeda Zainab district of Damascus, which killed and injured multiple Syrian civilians. He called the attack an example of the Zionist regime’s continued aggression and highlighted the impact on innocent lives.
Baqaei criticized what he described as repeated Israeli violations of Syria’s sovereignty, along with ongoing operations against Gaza and Lebanon. He claimed that Israel's actions are supported by the United States and certain European nations, whom he accused of enabling what he described as genocide and war crimes through unconditional backing of Israel.
The spokesperson called for international action, urging the global community to impose an arms embargo on Israel, expel it from the United Nations, and prosecute its leaders for war crimes. Baqaei also condemned the silence of international organizations regarding attacks on Palestinians, Lebanon, and Syria. Israel has not responded to the incident but previously reported strikes on Hezbollah intelligence sites in the same area, which has seen previous attacks.
