ALWAGHT- The Israeli regime has killed over 100 people in brutal attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip and Lebanon within the past 24 hours, as its campaign of violence continues.
On Sunday, Palestine’s WAFA news agency reported that an Israeli airstrike in Jabalia, northern Gaza, killed at least 33 civilians, including 13 children, in a residential building where families had sought refuge. Rescue teams recovered the victims and transported injured survivors, some in critical condition, to al-Ahli Baptist Hospital. Many remain trapped under debris as search-and-rescue efforts continue.
Earlier that day, Israeli forces killed at least 44 more people in northern Gaza and 31 in southern Lebanon, including Lebanese rescue workers and recently released Palestinian detainees. The Israeli airstrikes have particularly targeted northern Gaza areas, including Old Gaza Street in Jabalia, which has been under siege for more than a month.
In southern Lebanon, Israeli strikes hit the Tyre district and Baalbek region, according to Lebanon's Health Ministry and the Lebanese National News Agency. Israeli attacks on Gaza since October of the previous year have caused over 43,552 Palestinian deaths and more than 102,765 injuries, with thousands still trapped under rubble. These actions persist despite the UN’s calls for a ceasefire and the International Court of Justice’s directives to prevent genocide and alleviate Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.
In response, Hezbollah opened a support front for Palestinians shortly after Israel began its campaign against Gaza. Since September, Israeli attacks on Hezbollah have escalated, resulting in more than 3,000 deaths and, later that month, the assassination of Hezbollah leader Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut. In retaliation, Hezbollah has intensified its attacks on Israeli targets, pledging continued support for Gaza, Palestine, and Lebanon's defense.
