ALWAGHT- The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson sharply condemned an Israeli airstrike that destroyed five-story residential building housing displaced families in Gaza’s Beit Lahiya, resulting in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians.
In a statement on Tuesday, Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the ongoing genocide and killing of defenseless Palestinians, as well as the targeting of residential areas and critical infrastructure in Gaza, urging decisive international action to stop these crimes and hold the leaders of the occupying regime accountable.
He described the relentless attacks on residential areas, the mass killing of Gaza’s civilians, the blockade of northern Gaza, and the obstruction of humanitarian aid as clear war crimes aimed at eradicating the Palestinian people and forcibly displacing them from their land.
The Iranian spokesperson reminded all nations of their responsibility to oppose genocide and war crimes by the occupying regime, according to the ministry’s website.
Baqaei also criticized the military and political support provided by the US and certain Western countries to the occupying regime, holding these states complicit in Gaza’s suffering.
He concluded by calling for a global effort to end the genocide against Palestinians.
