President: Iran Prepared for Engagement with Neighbors and Global Powers

ALWAGHT- President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran is ready to develop substantial economic, social, political, and security collaborations with global powers and neighboring countries on the basis of equality, aiming to create a better future for the world.

In a speech at the 79th United Nations General Assembly, President Masoud Pezeshkian urged the global community to respond to Iran’s readiness for cooperation by fulfilling existing commitments to remove sanctions rather than imposing new ones. He emphasized that Iran's efforts to foster meaningful partnerships in economic, social, political, and security sectors are aimed at building a better future world.

President Pezeshkian began by congratulating the UN Assembly and reaffirmed Iran's commitment to peace, sustainable development, and human dignity. He referenced the martyrdom of the previous president, Ebrahim Raeisi, and spoke of his own platform, centered on "National Empathy," grounded in Islamic principles.

He condemned Israel’s actions in Gaza, labeling the regime’s violence as state terrorism. He argued that Israel’s atrocities, supported by the US, have failed to undermine the Palestinian resistance, which continues to fight for self-determination. Pezeshkian proposed a referendum in Palestine to determine its future, with all communities—Muslim, Christian, and Jewish—living in harmony.

Finally, Pezeshkian addressed the damaging impact of US sanctions on Iran, calling them inhumane and a violation of human rights. He expressed Iran's willingness to engage with the world on equal terms and urged global powers to meet their obligations by removing sanctions to enable more constructive international agreements.
