Iranian medical team arrives in Lebanon to aid victims of Israeli terrorist attacks

Iranian medical team arrives in Lebanon to aid victims of Israeli terrorist attacks

ALWAGHT- A medical relief team from the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has arrived in Lebanon to support the victims of the recent deadly terrorist attack by the Israeli regime in the country.

Head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Pirhossein Kolivand, along with a relief team consisting of 12 doctors, nurses, and paramedics, arrived in Lebanon on Wednesday to assist in treating those injured in the recent terrorist attack. Kolivand announced that several critically wounded individuals requiring advanced medical care would be transferred to Tehran for further treatment.

He explained that the decision to deploy the medical team came after an emergency IRCS meeting in response to the attack. On Tuesday, at least 12 people were killed and 3,000 injured when pagers exploded across various locations in Lebanon. Preliminary reports suggest the blasts were orchestrated by the Israeli regime amid rising tensions.

Following the attack, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi expressed Iran's readiness to provide medical assistance or facilitate the transfer of injured victims to Tehran. Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi also reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to send medical aid in talks with his Lebanese counterpart.

Israel and Hezbollah have been exchanging fire since October, following Israel’s assault on Gaza, launched after Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in retaliation for ongoing violence against Palestinians. Experts suggest that Israel's continued attacks on civilians in both Lebanon and Gaza are signs of desperation, which could accelerate its downfall.

In the last 11 months, more than 41,200 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed in Gaza by the Israeli regime.
