ALWAGHT- According to Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, the Iranian naval forces have obtained military drones equipped with cutting-edge technologies.
During a visit to a military base in Iran’s southern city of Sirjan, Rear Admiral Irani remarked that the Navy has acquired advanced drones, significantly enhancing the combat capabilities of the naval forces.
He also highlighted that a series of new equipment is slated to join the Navy’s fleet soon, further bolstering and advancing its operational capabilities.
Maintaining a constant and effective naval presence across all oceans remains a top priority on the Navy’s agenda, he affirmed.
During a meeting with Navy commanders in November 2023, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei praised the Iranian Navy’s remarkable advancements since the Islamic Revolution’s victory.
"In the early years of the Revolution, the idea of the Navy operating beyond territorial waters was unthinkable, but now the Navy confidently navigates the globe and returns home with pride," the Leader remarked.
During the same meeting, Rear Admiral Irani emphasized the Navy’s core policies of expanding its maritime influence and leveraging technology and science to bolster the country’s capabilities.
