Supreme Leader of Iran Meets with Teachers on National Teachers’ Day

ALWAGHT- On the Martyrdom anniversary of Ayatollah Morteza Motahari, observed as National Teacher's Day in Iran, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution welcomed 3,000 teachers from across the country at Imam Khomeini's Hosseinieh on Wednesday morning.

The following is a part of the statements of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, during this gathering:

Expressing gratitude to teachers for bringing public attention to the significance of their profession. Teachers should be portrayed as societal heroes and role models.

One of the responsibilities of the educational deputy is to explain the core interests of the country and the system. It's important for young people to grasp the reasoning behind slogans like "Down with America" and "Down with the Zionist regime."

Gaza has become the foremost global concern; Zionists and their allies in America and Europe cannot push the Gaza issue aside from the international agenda; observe the discourse in universities across America and Europe! Pressure on the Zionist regime needs to intensify continuously. America's conduct regarding Gaza validates Iran's stance of mistrust towards America.

Palestine should be restored to its rightful inhabitants. Normalizing ties with the Zionist regime won't resolve the issues in West Asia.
