ALWAGHT- In a joint statement following Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to Pakistan spanning three days, the two nations accused Israel of a "significant escalation in an already volatile region" through its "illegal" targeting of neighboring countries and foreign diplomatic premises.
"The two parties vehemently condemned the assault on the Consular Section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, deeming it an intolerable breach of Syria's sovereignty and a threat to its stability and security," stated the statement issued by Pakistan's foreign office.
Furthermore, it stated, "Both parties expressed resolute and unequivocal condemnation of the ongoing aggression and atrocities perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian populace, including the inhumane blockade of Gaza, which has led to extensive loss of life, devastation, and the displacement of millions of Palestinians."
