Alwaght- Iran's Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian has said that Iran has issued "necessary warnings" to the US administration to stay away from the direct Iranian confrontation with Israel.
He said that he issued the warnings during his talks with the counterparts from the Netherlands, Cyprus, Belgium, and Russia.
He made the comments in an X post.
"Today, I received phone calls from my counterparts from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Cyprus. Ideas were raised about the recent terrorist attack by Israeli regime at the building of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus and violation of the international laws and Vienna Conventions. We clarified our country's stances. I emphasized to them that necessary warnings were given to the US. Also, in a conversation with Sergey Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russian Federation, the latest international, regional, and Gaza developments were discussed," his post read.
Iran launched an extensive drone and missile attack directly from its territory on Saturday night.
