Alwaght- Iran will firmly respond to any Israeli adventures against its interests and security, Iran's envoy to the UN Amir Saeed Iravani in a letter to the UN Security Council members.

The letter was in response to a letter the Israeli regime sent to the UN about alleged Iranian arms supplies to Lebanese Hezbollah, he said.

"The present correspondence was prepared in response to the letter of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Israeli regime to the President of the Security Council. In his letter, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Israeli regime has tried to spread false information and make baseless claims against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Iravani's letter read.

The Iranian envoy categorically rejected the Israeli claims as "baselessc, saying the [Israeli] letter represents another desperate attempt by the Israeli regime to divert the attention of the international community from the heinous crimes and endless genocide of the apartheid regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip."

He added that the Islamic Republic warns of any Israeli adventures or destructive activities in the region and insists on its legitimate right to resolutely respond to any threats from the Israeli regime in accordance with the international laws and UN charter.

He also highlighted the allied countries' right to respond.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran also emphasizes the inherent right of the Arab Republic of Syria and Lebanon under international law to take necessary measures in the face of any threat, attack or aggressive actions of the Israeli regime against the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of these countries," the letter read.

In a letter to the Security Council, the Israeli Foreign Minister Yisral Katz had claimed that Tehran's shipments of arms to Hezbollah have intensified recently, and that if the UN takes no measures, Tel Aviv will take its own.

According to the letter, the shipments include components for air defense systems, drones (including the Shahed-101 and Shahed-136), and several different missiles (including the Mini-Ababil and the 358 anti-aircraft.

Iran described the Israeli letter an attempt to flee forward amid ongoing genocide and starvation in Gaza. It also highlighted the rights of Hezbollah to defend Lebanon’s territory and carry out attacks against Israeli regime in solidarity with Gaza.

The Israeli letter came as experts warned that should Tel Aviv wage war on Lebanon, Hezbollah will unleash a power unprecedented and several times stronger that it used in 33-day war in 2006 that inflicted a defeat on Israeli regime.

Hezbollah reportedly has a massive arsenal of arms from drones and precision-guided missiles and can fire 5,000 missiles a day should a war break out.

Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah warned earlier this month that possible war will leave Israeli officials dealing with 2 million displaced Israelis.
