Alwaght- Iran's Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian told his Saudi Counterpart Faisal bin Farhan that the two countries share views on Gaza and that the forthcoming emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should yield effective steps regarding Gaza that has been under Israeli bombardment and starvation over the past 5 months.
The meeting took place in Jeddah, where the Iranian PM has arrived to take part in the OIC Gaza meeting.
The top Iranian diplomat called for a united and cohesive Muslim world stance to help end the Israeli war crimes in Gaza.
"given our common views with Saudi Arabia, our expectation is that in this meeting, in addition to common positions, effective steps will be taken to support Palestine and end the Palestinian genocide," he told bin Farhan.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the process of cooperation between the two countries and expressed his readiness to advance this process by proposing some issues and common priorities of cooperation.
The meeting is to be held at the request of Iran that over the past five months has called for a united response to the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.
The meeting is called for amid deteriorating conditions in Gaza due to the starvation Israeli regime is foisting on the civilians in Gaza.
The international calls have been rising for Tel Aviv to allow aids into the besieged enclave, but Netanyahu insists on starving the Palestinians.
