Alwaght- The election commission in Iran stated that it extended the election for parliament and Assembly of Experts until 8:00 PM Tehran time (4:30 UTC) as people are standing in lines for their turn to vote. 

“While thanking the noble nation of Islamic Iran, given the reports received from constituencies across the country regarding the large presence of people in polling stations and the request to extend the period of polling, with the approval of the honorable minister of the interior, based on the note of Article 8 of the Executive Regulations, voting time will be extended for 2 hours, i.e. until 20:00 across the country,” a statement by the commission read.

As usual, the elections are expected to be extended for more times as the voting reaches its peak around 10:00 PM Tehran time
