Alwaght- The Israeli operatives were behind several sabotage attacks targeting Iran's two major gas pipelines over the weekend, reported New York Times citing its sources.
Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said on Wednesday that a "terrorist sabotage" attack had targeted two main gas transmission pipelines in the country’s southwestern province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari as well as the southern province of Fars, causing a massive explosion and a subsequent fire.
Iran, however, responded quickly to the disruption, sending repair teams that reconnected gas flow within hours.
The Israeli attack was meant to cut off cooking gas to millions of Iranians.
The oil minister said that "the enemy’s plan was to completely disrupt the flow of gas in winter to several main cities and provinces in our country."
Iranian officials said thar the Israeli regime was shifting the attention as it is stuck in Gaza war, where it is fighting resistance movement of Hamas for five months without being able to release its prisoners.
