The head of the EU foreign policy has called the Zionist regimes intentions for a military assault on Rafah in the Gaza Strip "alarming."
According to Agence France-Presse, Josep Borell stated on the social media platform X that "1.4 million Palestinians are currently in Rafah without a safe place, facing starvation."
Many of Gaza's 2.2 million residents have sought refuge in Rafah, the southernmost city in the Palestinian territory targeted by the Israeli regime’s ferocious offensive since October 7.
Borell expressed concern, stating, "The reports regarding an Israeli military offensive on Rafah are concerning."
It would have disastrous effects, making the already dreadful humanitarian situation and the intolerable death toll among civilians worse.
The Zionist Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Israeli officials to "submit to the cabinet a combined plan for evacuating the population and destroying the battalions of Hamas in Rafah.”
