Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah: the U.S. airstrikes against Yemen adversely affect maritime security

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah: the U.S. airstrikes against Yemen adversely affect maritime security

According to Hassan Nasrallah, ensuring security in the Red Sea and neighboring nations depends on bringing an end to the crisis in Gaza.

The leader of the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah, has stated that the actions of the United States in the Red Sea will jeopardize the security of all shipping, as the region is now considered a conflict zone.

In a televised speech on Sunday, Hassan Nasrallah emphasized that the United States should recognize that the security of the Red Sea, Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen is interconnected and relies on one crucial factor: bringing an end to the war in Gaza.

Instead of addressing the symptoms, they should focus on treating the root cause, he further commented.

Nasrallah was commenting on a coordinated military action carried out by the air forces of the United States and the United Kingdom. This assault involved launching a series of strikes against Yemeni forces on both Friday and Saturday.

Nasrallah emphasized on Sunday that the United States was mistaken if it believed that the Yemeni forces would cease their confrontations with the Zionist regime in the Red Sea.

"The more perilous consequence is that the actions undertaken by the Americans in the Red Sea will jeopardize the security of all maritime navigation. This includes ships unrelated to Palestine, not of Israeli origin, and entirely unrelated to the matter," he remarked. "This is due to the sea evolving into a battleground involving fighting, missiles, drones, and warships."
