Iran’s Pres. Raisi Lauds Africa’s Vigilance, Resistance to Colonialism

Alwaght- In his meeting with Burkina Fuso Foreign Minister Olivia Rouamba, President Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi of Iran praised the resistance of the African nations to colonialism and terrorism, saying that it bears signs that they are “awake and vigilant.” 

The president pointed to the good relations between Iran and the African nations after the 1979 Islamic Revolution that abolished the pro-Western monarchy in the country, saying that the two sides things in common, including resistance to the Western imperialism. 

The president said that this show of vigilance by Africa should that this continent knows the needs of the day. 

For her part, Burkina Fuso FM said that Iran is inspiring when it comes to confrontation of the imperialism and the global arrogance. 

She furthermore voiced her willingness for cooperation with Iran, saying that “our most important agenda is activating partnership with Iran.” 

She described Iran a “brotherly and friendly” country and held that her country is interested in boosting cooperation with Tehran. 

She also met her counterpart Hussein Amir-Abdollahian and discussed a range of cases with him.
