Alwaght- China submitted a written statement to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) regarding Israeli regime's violations in the occupied Palestinian territories, today said Saleh Raafat, member of the Executive Committee of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO).
He said that the new Chinese Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Tseng Jishin, told him during a meeting held in Ramallah that China has submitted its written statement to the ICJ on the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories.
Following the request by the General Assembly of the United Nations for the ICJ to render an advisory opinion on the legal consequences arising from the policies and practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, the ICJ has fixed 25 July 2023 as the time-limit within which written statements on the questions may be presented to the Court, and 25 October 2023 as the time-limit within which States and organizations having presented written statements may submit written comments on the written statements made by other states or organizations.
Foreign Minister Riyad Malki submitted on Monday Palestine’s written statement to the ICJ at its headquarters in The Hague.
